Restaurant offers goldfish companion to Solo customer and Twitter has thoughts
A restaurant in India is drawing quite a few reactions online after offering a goldfish companion to a solo diner, reports Fox News.
Prakash Mallya shared a picture on Twitter of a single goldfish swimming inside a bowl, with the name "Antonio" stamped on top.
Land in Mumbai, walk into the hotel restaurant for a quick meal. The hotel staff come by to leave this on my table as company given I was eating alone. So nice & thoughtful and something that's never happened in all my travel thus far😊! #CustomerExperiencepic.twitter.com/YCsL5riQWK

So cute. I just hope the fish are well cared for. It would be nice if they lived in a large tank that they are just scooped from and bowled when someone is eating alone.
In Thailand and Japan, Moomin Cafes will give you a giant stuffed Moomin if you are eating alone. pic.twitter.com/M8hSIlXBBo— Anna Slatz (@YesThatAnna) 8 August 2019
I can relate. I had a meal on my own on holiday in Mexico but was joined by a lovely gecko on the other side of the window I was sitting next to. I've never forgotten it. 🦎💕

I've never minded eating alone, but that's really that's lovely.
