'Heartbeat bears' offer comfort to bereaved parents

A mother who lost a twin at 24 weeks has invented a touching way of helping bereaved parents and those with sick newborns to keep their babies in their lives, by giving them teddy bears which play a recording of their heartbeat.

Dubbed 'heartbeat bears', Lottie King, 30, of Yarm, North Yorkshire, is raising money to provide families with the cuddly animals through her charity, Leo's Neo Natal - launched in September 2018 to honour her twin, Leo, who died a few hours after he was born.
