'Crazy pig' nearly bites girls hand off

A terrified girl admits a pig nearly bit her hand off as she tried to pat its snout and was chased by the swine for 20 metres.

Phillipa Hendy, 16, was filming livestock in West Pennard, Glastonbury when she got too close to a mother pig and her newborn piglets. She approached the pig - called Poppy, three - and tried to stroke it on its snout, when it suddenly snapped its jaws to scare Phillipa away.

Phillipa let out a high pitched scream and "ran as fast as I could away from her" for nearly 20 metres, before the pig gave up.
