Did the Titanic really sink?

One of the most enduring conspiracy theories claims the ship was switched with its sister vessel RMS Olympic.

Everyone seems to agree on one thing: That a ship really did go doqn in the icy waters of the North Atlantic on April 15th 1912, and around 1,500 passengers perished.

The conspiracy suggests that the ship that sank to the bottom of the ocean was actually an older ship, the Olympic.

What's more, the conspiracy theory suggests, the entire crash was an insurance scam gone wrong.
