Nicola Adams shares the story of her incredible journey to Olympic glory

"I'm fighting for more than just myself and a gold medal - I'm fighting for all the girls that come after me so they don't have to fight to break down doors," says professional boxer and two-time Olympic champion Nicola Adams.

She was raised in Leeds by a single mum who proved to be her inspiration. "She was the one who told me I could achieve anything," Adams revealed.

It was an after-school boxing class that kindled Adams' interest in the sport, but almost immediately she faced hostility. In our video, she explains why she didn't give up.
