Pregnant Meghan exclaims: 'We're nearly there!'

The Duchess of Sussex was seen looking down at her bump as she met Welsh Secretary Alun Cairns, who appeared to be congratulating her on her pregnancy.

The royals were gathered at Buckingham Palace thrown by the Queen to mark the 50th anniversary of her son Charles' investiture as Prince of Wales.

At one point Meghan was heard to exclain: "We're nearly there!"

The prince was surrounded by his immediate family at the reception, with his wife the Duchess of Cornwall by his side along with his sons and their wives – a symbolic gesture of support for the future king.

Leading figures from Wales were also invited, including Falklands veteran Simon Weston, the band Stereophonics, Game Of Thrones star Owen Teale and First Minister of Wales Mark Drakeford.
