New evidence suggests ‘plentiful water’ on early Mars

An analysis of Martian terrain information gathered by NASA's Rover curiosity are said to suggest outburst flooding and plentiful water.

The Geological Society of America reports that researchers have analysed images of sedimentary rocks to interpret the geologic processes that occurred billions of years ago on Mars.

According to the team they show pronounce cross beds that suggests the presence of moving water.
