Animals brought back from the brink of extinction

Ever heard of the Pygmy Tarsier?

Many haven't. This mammal species is one of the smallest in the world. For 80 years, researchers thought they were extinct.

That is until one was found in Indonesia in 2000.

Thanks to some scraps of DNA and scientific ingenuity there's hope that some long-extinct creatures may be inhabiting the earth again.
