Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's former personal chef has revealed the extremely limited diet her clients were on.
When Kate McAloon first started working for the couple, who have since divorced, in 2008, she was told by their assistant 'they eat nothing'.
McAloon told Australian website news.com.au: "I had a brief from their assistants... they eat nothing. They are very strict. They avoided any sugars, anything sweet, no dairy, just more vegetables.
"When I got there I was trying to stick to the brief and I realised as I started adding more ingredients in, they said 'Your food is getting better'. That's what happens when you eat more than grass!"
In recent months, Paltrow's lifestyle website Goop has come under fire for some of the products or practices they promote, including criticism from doctors and scientists.
However, Paltrow has vigorously defended her brand this week in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter: "I'm interested in criticism based on fact, not on projections. If you want to f**k with me, bring your A game."
