Son surprises dad by reuniting him with Vietnam helmet

It was the same helmet from when he served in 1968

Zane Raddue surprised his father at the family home in Beaverton, Oregon, by presenting him with his Vietnam-era helmet, from when he served in 1968-69.

Zane's friend alerted him to a Facebook page where a youngster in the UK was, funnily enough, in possession of the helmet.

After Zane managed to get the helmet sent over, he presented the prized asset, which had the family surname written inside, to his delighted and overwhelmed father.
