Fortnum & Mason
The ultimate traditional hamper, Fortnum & Mason's £85 Christmas offering is packed full of high-class fare, including a rum and cognac Xmas pud, spiced marmalade, biscuits, chutney, mulled wine spices and a sumptuous bottle of port, plus chocolates, posh tea and coffee.
Strictly for the wine connoisseur, Selfridges' Sommelier's Hamper isn't cheap at £160, but you do get a selection of fine wines including two bottles of champers, Chablis, Cotes-du-Rhone, Touraine Sauvignon and Chateauneuf-du-Pape. A hamper to be savoured.
Paxton & Whitfield
In our humble opinion, no Christmas is complete without a cheeseboard, and what could be better than indulging yourself or your hosts with a selection Paxton & Whitfield's fabulous cheese, including stilton, cheddar and Mont d'Or. If £100 seems pricey, even for such fine dairy fare, bear in mind that there are celery and sea salt oaties as an accompaniment, along with sloe gin-soaked shredded pork, festive chutneys, mince pies, a Christmas pudding and brandy butter, and a few other sumptuous little treats.
Chocoholic relatives will be thrilled with the Deluxe Christmas Hamper from master chocolatiers Hotel Chocolat. At £150, it's not cheap, but alongside the mouth-watering chocolate treats like salted caramel drinking chocolate, a choccie Christmas wreath and reindeer, and selection boxes, there's a bottle of red and a Prosecco with which to wash all that stunning sweetness down.
Celebrate Christmas Italian-style, with Carluccios' Il Massimo hamper (£65). The treats on offer include a traditional Panettone, pasta, virgin olive oil, wild boar ragu and Prosecco, all beautifully presented in a festive box. The perfect antidote to heavy Christmas pudding and brandy butter!
Abel & Cole
A great allrounder, Abel & Cole's £79 Christmas Hamper is an organic treat for anyone. Including a bottle of white Rioja, olive oil, smoked salmon, cheddar and stilton, antipasto, shortbread biscuits, mince pies, coffee and champagne truffles, there's a little indulgent treat for every Christmas moment.
