Other famous faces getting involved include the One Show's Christine Bleakley, rugby star Lawrence Dallaglio, Formula One's Jenson Button and funny man Frank Skinner to name but a few.

The aim of the three-day event is draw attention to good causes as well as raising much needed funds. Some of the causes helped will be that of children in the UK who are leading very tough lives caring for adults or preventing the spread of malaria abroad by providing something as simple as a bed net.

The cash will be used through the Comic Relief organisation and should also help some of the recent crisis around the world like the Haiti earthquake victims.

You can do your bit by joining the Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile. You can choose a distance between one, three or six miles, which means the whole family can join in. There are 16 flagship miles and hundreds of others taking place around the country so be sure to get involved and change lives for ever.
