Lily Allen 'ashamed' of Easter post

Lily Allen is regretting an Easter post after upsetting religious Twitter followers by making light of the true meaning behind the holiday.

The singer received backlash from offended Christians after tweeting "Christ has risen, and so has my chocolate egg count" on Easter Sunday, and returned to social media to reprimand herself.

"I didn't need to tweet this. It serves no one, it's not funny and I'm ashamed," she posted.
