World's first 600 km/h high-speed maglev train unveiled in China

The world's first 600 km/h high-speed maglev train was unveiled in eastern China.

The video, filmed in the city of Qingdao in Shandong Province on July 20, shows a 600 km/h high-speed maglev train making its public debut.

The maglev train uses electromagnetic force to make it hover above the track with no contact between body and rail.

The train has low noise pollution, small vibration but large passenger capacity and needs less maintenance.

The maglev train is the fastest mode of transportation within the 1,500 kilometre range in terms of actual travel time.
