Vets remove 1,000 coins from turtle's stomach
Vets in Bangkok have found almost 1,000 coins in a sea turtle's stomach.
As a tradition, visitors looking for luck would flip coins into the sea turtle's pool in the seaside town of Sri Racha.

Unfortunately this also resulted in the turtle, nicknamed 'Bank', eating coins thrown into her pool by luck-seeking tourists.
This led to a life-threatening infection and a crack in her ventral shell.
Bank is now recovering at Chulalongkorn University's animal hospital and she will be on a liquid diet for now.
