Lauren Goodger’s fans have urged the reality star not to have any more cosmetic surgery after she posted an ‘unrecognisable’ selfie on social media.

The former The Only Way is Essex personality took to Instagram earlier this month to share a photo she took with Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry and another female friend before a night out.

Reacting to the now-deleted post, one of her followers begged her to “stop the procedures” and that it’s “so sad” to see her reportedly alter her appearance.

Another said: “I have always been a fan of you, but you have become very unrecognisable. I don’t have have issues with any cosmetic work but there is a point when you have had to much...”

One more added: “You are beautiful, you was before surgery. You can do whatever makes you happy but don’t change your image to the extent of being unrecognisable. Imperfections make us unique.

“You have the most beautiful eyes, a lovely figure, embrace what you’ve naturally been blessed with. No need to conform to fit in.”

While the majority of comments seemed to be coming from a place of genuine concern, some were more mean-spirited. One user even compared Goodger, 32, to musician Pete Burns, who is known for his extreme, surgically-enhanced looks.

Earlier today (23 May), Goodger appeared to take a swipe at outlets for posting photographs of herself that seem to distort what she looks like. On her Instastory, she wrote: “I’m so sick of news publications posting images of me that don’t look nothing like me in the first place...

“If you really wanna see how I really look just look on my Instagram babes [sic],” she added, before sharing a link to an OK! magazine article that saw someone close to her address the aforementioned snap featuring Ferry.

“It’s just a filter,” the source told the publication, insisting fans have no reason to be concerned. “A friend took the photo and edited it on an app called Lightroom.

“Lauren doesn’t even have the app or know how to use it. She “had no part in doctoring the image.”
