What we know about headless torso found in Manchester woodland
Two men have been charged with murder after the discovery of a headless torso at a nature reserve and body parts at three more locations.
The torso, belonging to a man, was found by a passer-by at Kersal Dale Wetlands in Salford, Greater Manchester, earlier this month.
On Monday, Greater Manchester Police said two men had been charged with murder after more human remains were found at three further separate locations in the area.
What we know
Michal Jaroslaw Polchowski, 68, and Marcin Majerkiewicz, 42, both from Worsley Road, Eccles, have been charged with murder after a torso was found in a nature reserve in Salford, Greater Manchester Police said.
They were charged after more suspected human remains were found on Monday morning in an alleyway close to railway lines off Worsley Road.
Polchowski and Majerkiewicz are due to appear at Tameside Magistrates Court on Monday afternoon.
More remains had been found by a dog walker at Linneyshaw Colliery Wood on Saturday evening and by officers at Blackleach Reservoir on Sunday.
The torso – consisting of the bottom of the back, buttocks and thigh – was found in clear plastic by a passer-by at Kersal Dale Wetlands on 4 April.
Police said that formal identification is ongoing, but the remains found at Kersal Dale are believed to be of a local man in his 60s.
While the remains found at the other three locations are still to be tested, the force said it is "confident" they belong to the same victim.
Police said the victim had only been dead for a matter of days after his torso was found, and that his family has been informed.

Officers searched a property in Worsley Road, where they believe the victim and the two men who have been charged lived.
Evidence at the scene suggests the victim is likely to have died there in late March, police said.
A 20-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on 6 April was later released on bail pending further inquiries.
What we don't know
The victim has not yet been formally identified but this should be completed by next week, according to Greater Manchester Police.
The relationship between the victim and the two men who have been charged, who all lived together, is not yet known, although police say they were not related.
The manner in which the man died has also not been disclosed.
The force is appealing to local communities to report anything suspicious they may have seen, heard or witnessed in the crime scene areas.
