If you follow Kevin Bacon on social media (if you don't you should!), you know that he and his wife live on a farm and have many animals. Their alpacas are known to be finicky and standoffish, and he is always trying to get them to pay attention to him. Kevin shared a video in mid-April of him and his wife Kyra Sedgwick and their two kids Travis and Sosie performing the popular band Filter's 1990's hit, Take a Picture and it will make you smile!

The family is in the barn and Kevin's playing a bongo, Travis is on guitar, and Kyra is playing a ukelele. Listen in as the whole family sings. And check out the attentive alpacas enjoying the show!

This is just the best! Kevin and the gang look like they're having a blast, and it was fun to watch their performance. Fans enjoyed the song too. @Donna-b-bonna said, "Kevin, Kyra, alpacas and music… all my favorite things. Thank you for the smiles!" @Charlie added, "Looks and sounds like the coolest funnest barn around!" @Karen pointed out, "Those sweet alpacas are loving it!" @Catherine Long asked, "How does one get an invite to this hang??!"

Do Alpacas Make Good Pets?

The Footloose Farmer has all kinds of farm animals like goats, alpacas, horses, and pigs, and he sings to them all often. The alpacas normally don't pay any attention to him, but it's super entertaining to watch! After watching this video, you might be thinking that having an alpaca would be fun. However, alpacas like to be in groups, so you'll probably need to get at least two of them for them to be happy.

Alpacas are known to be pretty friendly, and they form strong bonds with their humans. They are great with kids and get along well with other animals like mini horses, donkeys, sheep, and goats. They're rather quiet and aren't stinky animals like cows.

Alpacas form strong bonds with their humans and are kid friendly. And while they are friendly, they also tend to be shy, so if you have a crazy house full of kids and pets running around, alpacas won't be fans of that kind of environment. They are also definitely not cuddly pets. If you're looking for a pet you can pet, an alpaca probably isn't going to be right for you. They will tolerate you touching them, but they'll never be fans of being cuddled.

Alpacas like to have a lot of space to forage for food and roam. Our yard would be big enough - it's estimated that you need about an acre for every four alpacas.

If you're actually considering getting a pair of alpacas, make sure that you do your own research. There are pros and cons to bringing home any animal, but I don't think that alpacas are for me. I think I'll stick to watching Kevin Bacon woo his alpacas instead of bringing one home as a pet.
