Could an album be the answer to Katie Price’s money woes? Apparently so. Or at least according to a report in The Sun which says Price feels relaunching her music career will inject some much needed cash into her dwindling accounts.
A source revealed to The Sun that Price, who’s facing bankruptcy, believes she’ll be able to rebuild her wealth with the help of a new single.
“She’s telling her team to find new ways to make money from the brand and is even re-starting her pop career and is getting a song written for her.
“Katie thinks she’ll sell loads of downloads and she can tour nightclubs singing it,” the source said.
The source added that her next book – her 7th autobiography no less – will definitely be ‘a bestseller.’
“She’s working on a new book – her 7th – and she’s got some really good stories to tell. It’ll be a bestseller with all the drama she’s been though in recent years.”
This of course won’t be Price’s first foray into the pop world. Price has long said she’d like to be a singer and her first crack at breaking into the industry was way back in 2003 when she attempted to represent Great Britain at Eurovision.
She gave an unforgettable performance as ‘Just Not Anybody’ but never progressed further than runner-up.
In 2006 Price released a duet album with then husband Peter Andre ‘A Whole New World.’ It reached Gold status having sold over 150,000 copies and reached no. 20 on the UK Albums Charts.
She even released a song called ‘I Got You’ last year and performed the tune on Loose Women.
Price is just one week away from her bankruptcy hearing deadline. She has been given a three month extension to sort her finances out in order to avoid declaring bankruptcy. In her hey day, the former glamour model was worth upwards of £40 million.
