Jennifer Lopez celebrates 50th birthday in bondage-inspired Versace dress
Hard to believe, but Jennifer Lopez is 50. The actress-turned-singer marked her milestone birthday on 24 July with a star-studded party and an outfit we won’t forget in a hurry.
The superstar hosted a celebration at Emilio and Gloria Estefan’s mansion in Star Island, Miami.
She attended her honorary do with fiancé Alex Rodriguez, who will also celebrates his birthday this week, turning 44 tomorrow.
Lopez, popularly known as J Lo, wore a custom-made Versace gown for the event, complete with bondage-inspired detailing including buckles, straps, cut-outs and a hip-high split.
She accessorised with oversized gold hoops, a homage to her early noughties style, plus a gold clutch.

The dress was reminiscent of J Lo’s exotic green Versace gown which she wore almost two decades ago for the 42nd Grammy Awards in 2000 – a look which, along with Liz Hurley’s safety pin dress, propelled the Versace brand to worldwide fame.

J Lo also wore two other rings and a gold bracelet detailed with the initials J+A: Jennifer and Alex.

Finally, she sported her engagement ring from Rodriguez – said to be worth several million according to jewellery experts.
Guests included Ashanti, Fat Joe and DJ Khaled; all artists Lopez has collaborated with musically in the past.

A perhaps more unexpected was including ‘Coronation Street’ actor Ryan Thomas, apparently a friend of billionaire and Pretty Little Thing founder Umar Kamani who hosted the do.
J Lo was gifted a $140,000 Porsche for her birthday by her fiancé Alex Rodriguez, according to E! News – with a personalised registration plate.
A source told the publication: "[The car] came with a big gold bow on it and was delivered to their house this afternoon.
The license plate says JLO."
