'I'm A Celeb': Noel Edmonds' wife Liz reveals secret communications with husband

Noel Edmonds’ wife Liz Davies has confirmed that she came up with a secret code for the TV presenter during his time in the I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here jungle.

Over the past few years, the campmates have come up with creative ways to communicate with their loved ones after being stripped of any outside contact during their time in the Australian outback.

Edmonds, who has vowed to retire from showbiz if he wins, recently spoke about the secret code he had with his wife during a conversation with Harry Redknapp.

“So look what my wife did… she said you’ll remember me,” Noel began to explain as he showed Redknapp is painted toenails.

“Look at the red one, she said that’s the emergency toe, ‘if you’re in a really tight spot press that toe’, he continued before adding: “She hasn’t told me what happens.”

The star is among 11 stars in the TV jungle.

Davies was quizzed about Edmonds’ claim when she made an appearance on This Morning.

Having been asked if it was true, Mrs Edmonds told hosts Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes: “Guilty as charged. We like to make each other laugh.”

However, Edmonds joked that her husband wasn’t impressed by the idea of having his toenails painted at first.

“When I told him he was like, ‘really?’ but I told him that every time he looks at his toes, he’ll think of me,” she added.

Davies also addressed the new bromance between Edmonds and Redknapp.

She said: “I think it’s really great. When rumour had it that Harry was going to be in the jungle, Noel was really pleased and genuinely excited about meeting Harry.”

Eliminations from the jungle will start taking place when I’m A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here returns to TV screens at 9pm on ITV.
