‘Graceful’ Dog’s Attempt To Jump Onto the Bed Doesn’t Go as Planned

Many dogs are known for their amazing agility, but it seems that for L.A. based singer/songwriter Evalyn, her dog isn't one of them. She shared a video at the beginning of April of her Shih Tzu trying to leap onto her bed, but it doesn't go according to plan.

The clip is only 12 seconds long, but it will definitely crack you up! Watch as Evalyn's pup comes running into the bedroom with a toy in her mouth. She makes the leap onto the bed, and an epic failure comes next!

I think I've watched this video at least 10 times and laughed every time! Evalyn cracked me up with her caption, "She is beauty, she is grace." The Shih Tzu definitely missed the mark trying to hop onto the bed holding a toy almost the same size that she is! Evalyn's video went viral, and has more than 13 million views, nearly 3 million likes, and over 14 thousand comments...people loved it! Commenter @Carrie got almost 37 thousand likes when she laughed, "Excellent use of slow motion!" and @csmileysnow added, "It was like watching an airbag simulation video LOL!!" I laughed at @Hanalei Kay who joked, "She is beauty, she is grace, she takes the bed to the face!" @weratedogs said simply, "A for effort."

Is A Shih Tzu Right for Your Family?

If you're considering bringing home a new dog, most people just think about what a dog looks like and the dog's characteristics that they know about. But it's important to do your research when it comes to finding your dream dog because all dog breeds have pros and cons. Shih-Tzus are obviously extremely adorable and are known for their sweet disposition. In fact, they are one of the most affectionate dog breeds around.

These dogs are very small - they stand about 9 to 10-1/2 inches at the shoulder and only weigh between 9 to 16 pounds as adults. If you have small children at home, a Shih Tzu may not be the best fit, since little kids often don't understand how important it is to be gentle with animals.

Shih Tzus are friendly and outgoing, and very loyal to their humans. They're also very adaptable to their owner's lifestyle. If you have an active family, they can be lively and ready for any adventure with you. If your family is more laid-back, they enjoy being couch potatoes and cuddling up on the sofa just as much. These are not highly active pups and only require moderate exercise. A daily walk or two suits them just fine.

These dogs can be pricey if you buy from a breeder, and you can pay upwards of $1,000 for a puppy. Adults are much cheaper, so consider buying an older dog or seeing if your local rescues or shelters have one that's looking for a home.
