It's a happy ending for the goat that's healing after a mountain lion attack. The animal has been in the care of The Gentle Barn, where he was sent after the attack, and they recently gave an update on his journey that has people online cheering.

When Bolt first arrived at the sanctuary, he was in rough shape.

Before the attack the goat, Bolt, lived in a "loving home near the mountains," The Gentle Barn explained in the video's caption. Sadly, a mountain lion attacked both Bolt and his brother — and his brother didn't survive.

Bolt thankfully made it and his family decided to send him to The Gentle Barn so that he could recover and receive some much needed care.

When he first got to the animal sanctuary, "He arrived heartbroken and shy," they explained. But he's since turned a corner and made huge progress. The video shows Bolt now that he's acclimated to his new surroundings. His injuries have since healed and he's started to "relax and heal" from his trauma.

It's progress that people in the comments section needed to see. "So thankful he's healing and being treated so well. Thank you!!" one person praised. "So happy for Bolt, he deserves the world," another person gushed. "Speechless. So happy to see the recovery and getting a safe place to heal," a third commenter agreed. "Bolt is safe now. I’m so thankful he made it and has so many friends," someone else wrote.

All About Bolt’s Recovery

It must not have been easy to help Bolt when he first got to The Gentle Barn. But they showed him immense patience, which really helped things along.

"He’s used to our schedule and routine, has bonded with the other animals, and loves the attention of the guests," they explained. "He's gotten acupuncture for his arthritis and tendon issues, and EFT tapping from founder Ellie Laks to help with releasing his past trauma over the loss of his brother."

Bolt has also been making so many friends since his arrival. He eats lots of fresh food and even has a favorite spot in the barnyard where he likes to sit.

It really is heartwarming. Bolt went through so much and there was probably a time when it wasn't clear that he would pull through. But in the sanctuary's own words, going forward things should be a-okay.

"He's doing phenomenal after beating the odds, overcoming his injuries, and learning he's safe at home with us," they wrote.
