Funny Cow Who Clearly 'Has Places to Be' Keeps Busting Out of Enclosure

If you thought your dog got into trouble, then you should try having a mischievous cow. Tally Gross has had real trouble keeping tabs on her cow Butterscotch. So much so that she even made a compilation of all the weird places she's found Butterscotch when the cow busts free.

Gross must have a good sense of humor because Butterscotch has really put her through her paces.

The video really is hysterical. Somehow, someway, Butterscotch always seems to get out. And when he does he ends up in some strange places. Sometimes he'll be in a neighbor's yard, other times he's in the woods, once it was a wedding venue, and another time he was spotted by a stranger, who then posted about Butterscotch on Facebook.

"Someone's cow is loose!" the post reads. "Do you know who it belongs to?"

Yep, it was Butterscotch. Once again going out and doing his own thing while his mom was probably stressed at home.

"Everyone wish Butterscotch luck at his new home at a wedding venue," she joked in the caption.

While mom might not exactly appreciate her cow's antics, the comments section absolutely loved it. "'God forbid I have hobbies' -Butterscotch," joked one commenter. "Butterscotch has PLACES TO BE hunny!!!" someone else chimed in. "Not hiding in the bushes like Mike Myers," a third person teased. "If Butterscotch 'comes' over, we’re having snacks and chilling before I send him home," another commenter vowed.

How to Stop Your Cow From Wandering

It's not just Butterscotch that seems to like to wander. Many cows will stray away from their homes if they aren't protected. Some cow owners will install cattle guards to make sure their cows stay put.

Cattle guards are sections of the driveway overlaid with pipes or molded concrete ridges. This makes it easy for cars to enter or leave the premises, but will keep cows in so they won't leave.

The reason why cattle guards work is actually because the animals have worse eyesight than we do. Cows will see the gaps between the pipes or molding and get scared because they can't judge how deep the gaps go. They won't try and cross them in case they'll fall in. The rounded shape of the molding also is a deterrent. Cows might get scared that their footing will be uneven and will get spooked that they'll trip.

Cattle guards might just help Gross with her wandering cow problem. But then she'll never find out what sort of trouble Butterscotch will get into next.
