Fl-utterly heartbreaking: Dog eats butterfly immediately after child sets it free

A young boy was filmed setting his pet butterfly free, before it was quickly intercepted and eaten by his dog in their back garden in Rotherham.

Danny Seddon captured the video of his son Ronnie, who had raised the butterfly from a caterpillar.

As the insect is released, Danny can be heard exclaiming, “he’s free!”, while they watch the butterfly, called Ralph, flutter away.

But then disaster strikes as the family’s pet dog Marvel pounces and gobbles up Ralph.

“You idiot! Marvel’s eaten him,” says Danny, reacting to the shocking incident.
