Volcano is perfect backdrop for a game of volleyball

The erupting Fagradalsfjall volcano on Iceland’s Reykjanes Peninsula gave an unusual backdrop for a game of volleyball at the weekend.

Rut Einarsdottir recorded this video, showing a group passing the ball to one another as the volcano spews lava in the background.

Einarsdottir added on Twitter that she was happy simply having her morning coffee in front of the dramatic scene.

Fagradalsfjall began erupting on March 20, according to the Icelandic Meteorological Office.
