Ulrika Jonsson has said her sex drive went “bonkers” when she was 51.

The former Gladiators star, 54, split from her third husband Brian Monet in 2019 and later said there had been a lack of intimacy in their marriage.

Speaking to Vicky Pattison on The Secret To Finding Your Power podcast, she said she later tried online dating.

“I reached this point three years ago when I was 51 where I don't want to be in a relationship but I do want to have sex and I’d like to have a lot of it, please,” she said.

"My sex drive went a bit bonkers – well, I don’t know if it went bonkers, it may have been bonkers – but anyway I wasn’t having any sex but then my friend put me on the dreaded dating apps so then I did have a few dates,” Jonsson went on.

The mother-of-four said that in the past she has always been “a relationship person” but that was partly because she was wanting to have children.

She said in the future she would like to be with someone but that it may not be in the "conventional" way, like living together.

Her second child was daughter Bo, who she had with former partner Marcus Kempen.

She tied the knot with Lance Gerrard-Wright in 2003 and they had daughter Martha before splitting in 2006.

The star was married to Monet for 11 years and they share a son, Malcolm.
