Torvill and Dean confirm how their retirement will affect Dancing On Ice

Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean have promised they are not quitting Dancing On Ice.
The ice-skaters – who won gold at the 1984 Olympics with their Bolero routine – have announced they are retiring from performing in 2025 with a Last Dance tour, to mark 50 years of skating together. This sparked speculation that they would also be stepping down as judges on the ITV skating show after 16 series. But Torvill and Dean have now set the record straight.
What, how and why?
Torvill, 66, and Dean, 65, appeared on The One Show to discuss their Torvill & Dean: Our Last Dance tour.
Kemp asked them: "I got a little bit worried about this. There's some speculation, it's the Dancing On Ice semi-final this weekend. Please tell me you are returning for the next series?!" Torvill said: "Oh, absolutely!" Dean added: "We will. The names are engraved on the chairs now. They can's take us away!"
But the pair admitted their final tour was going to be emotional - especially their very last dance at the final show in Glasgow on 11 May.
Dean said: "I think the last show will be the lump in the throat." Torvill said: " I think for everybody, whichever skaters are with us on the ice, they'll be emotional too because it's always like that at the end of a tour, but this will be a special once for us." Dean added: "This will be the end, end tour. It's an Elton john moment!"

Dean exclaimed: "Next year's 50 years we've been skating together. It's incredible. Half a century!" Torvill admitted: "It will be emotional but we want to treat it as a celebration. We've been so lucky to have such a long career and still be able to do it in some way." She asked Dean: "What do you call it? Age appropriate skating! We want people to come along and watch us celebrate and join in with us."
What else happened on The One Show?
The Apprentice star Tim Campbell said his marriage is a result of his haggling technique on the first series of the show. The businessman one the very series of The Apprentice in 2005 and now takes part in the show as Lord Sugar's advisor.
He revealed he ended up proposing to his wife in order to get a discount on a diamond in the negotiation task. Campbell, 46, told hosts Alex Jones and Roman Kemp: "[In the original series of The Apprentice] We had to negotiate for a diamond. Interestingly - a brilliant shop in Hatton Garden, I negotiated on a promise that if I ever got a discount, I'd got back and buy my engagement ring. And I stayed true to that. And my wife, I've been together with 26 years off the back of that promise."
Campbell is believed to have married wife Jasmine around September 2008 and they have two children Kayla and Aaron.
