Taylor Swift fans crash Ticketmaster as scrum for UK tour tickets begins
Taylor Swift fans have managed to crash Ticketmaster under the huge weight of demand for tickets to her UK and Europe tour.
Speak Now singer Swift, 33, is currently touring the US and will take her show The Eras Tour international from August, with dates booked for the UK in June and August, and Ireland in June.
She is due to visit Edinburgh, Liverpool, Cardiff and London in June 2024 with the hotly anticipated ticket sale beginning today (Monday).

At the end of June, Swift will move on to Ireland where she will perform three nights in Dublin.
London then gets three more shows in August as she returns to Wembley Stadium again.
Eager fans were offered the chance to bag their tickets early in a pre-sale for those who had pre-ordered her Midnights album.
But despite the pre-sale not opening until 11am, Swift fans were already complaining of problems accessing Ticketmaster from 10am as they clamoured to secure tickets.
People were tweeting that they were getting error messages and notifications that their place in the queue was no longer valid once they reached the front.
One disgruntled fan tweeted: "I got into the Taylor Swift queue with 2948 people ahead of me finally getting to the last person to be told my place in the queue is no longer valid. This is ridiculous and unacceptable I now have 36,522 people ahead of me!"
Someone else pleaded: "Hi Ticketmaster. I am not a bot. Can you let me in again. This is actually insane."
Another Swift fan wrote: "When you get down to 770 in the queue for @taylorswift13 and then @TicketmasterUK bumps you back to 6000."
Someone else shared: "Anyone else get to the front of the queue then booted off?? Back to 10,000 in the queue."
Ticketmaster were expecting a rush on buying the tickets, so had even staggered the times that they went on sale with dates at Wembley on 21 June and Edinburgh on 7 June going live for the first pre-sale at 11am.
At 1pm, Wembley for 15 August and Edinburgh for 8 June became available, while Edinburgh on 9 June was scheduled for 3pm.
There are still lots of other dates available outside of the pre-sale, as the main ticket sale starts next week with staggered times and days on Monday 17, Tuesday 18 and Wednesday 19 July to try to grab tickets.
