Strictly's Dan Walker shares abusive messages from angry viewers
Dan Walker has revealed an online troll threatened to sue him for bad dancing as he shared the abusive messages he has received for making it to the quarter finals of Strictly Come Dancing.
The BBC Breakfast host and his partner Nadiya Bychkova are still yet to have been in the dance-off as they made it through another week of the BBC dance competition, while Tilly Ramsay became the latest celebrity to be sent home by the judges.
Walker, 44, tried to laugh off the online abuse he had received as he shared it on Twitter.
He said: "Thank you to everyone who is sending lovely messages & enjoying us having fun on #Strictly and to the few who say… “Just leave” “Aren’t you ashamed?” “You’re a disgrace” “It’s a fix” (which I don’t get) or “Who is voting for them?” IT’S A TV SHOW! See you in the 1/4 finals."

He added: "Thanks again for all the lovely messages about #Strictly
"We’re delighted that so many are enjoying watching an awkward dad getting taught by a double world-champion.
"I’ve attached just 3 of the 1000s of positive messages from the weekend but also my favourite angry one."
“I hope you go bald” is just the best ever 😂👨🏻🦲
I’m also intrigued by how you would go about suing someone for their dancing!— Dan Walker (@mrdanwalker) November 29, 2021
Walker joked: “I hope you go bald” is just the best ever. I’m also intrigued by how you would go about suing someone for their dancing!
But the TV presenter confessed even he was surprised to have got so far in the competition, and admitted he had expected to be voted off in Week 2.
Thank you Rachel and don’t worry… we intend to enjoy every second of it 🕺🏼💃🏼
I thought I’d be off in week 2 or 3 and here we are in the QFs 😂
Very thankful for the support. https://t.co/IRDzSzfnNK— Dan Walker (@mrdanwalker) November 29, 2021

Walker was second from bottom on the leader board this week for his Rhumba, but escaped the dance-off yet again.
CBBC presenter Rhys Stephenson landed in the dance-off following the public vote, despite being placed third by the judges' score for his Viennese Waltz, which saw him break down in tears on the dancefloor.
