Sky cancels 'Bulletproof' after Noel Clarke allegations

Sky has cancelled Noel Clarke’s series Bulletproof after the actor was accused of bullying and sexual harassment.

Three series of the police procedural have already aired and a fourth had been commissioned.

However, it seems it will no longer go ahead.

A Sky spokesperson told Yahoo: “Sky will not be proceeding with any further series of Bulletproof.”

It comes after The Guardian reported last month that 20 women who knew the actor and producer in a professional capacity had accused him of verbal abuse, bullying and sexual harassment.

Clarke has denied the allegations against him, saying in a statement: “In a 20-year career, I have put inclusivity and diversity at the forefront of my work and never had a complaint made against me.

“If anyone who has worked with me has ever felt uncomfortable or disrespected, I sincerely apologise.

“I vehemently deny any sexual misconduct or wrongdoing and intend to defend myself against these false allegations.”

Following the accusations, Clarke was suspended by Bafta and ITV pulled the final episode of his drama, Viewpoint, from its schedule.

Police drama Bulletproof was created by and stars Clarke and Ashley Walters, who play childhood friends who are now working together as detectives.

It started in 2018 and two further series followed in 2020 and this year.

Earlier this year, Clarke posted a message on Instagram thanking fans for their support and saying that the programme had been recommissioned for another season.
