Sharon Stone threatened with job loss after insisting on vaccinated set
Sharon Stone has said her next acting role is under threat because she refuses to work on set until all cast and crew have had Covid vaccinations.
The Basic Instinct star, 63, said she has been offered a job - “a good job, a job I really want to do” – in Atlanta but revealed it’s hanging in the balance because she wants everyone to have had their jabs.
Deadline reported that Stone spoke out in a video after announcing her candidacy for SAG-AFTRA's National Board and National Delegate on the Membership First slate.
“That’s why my hair is standing on end… because the Producers Guild of America will not guarantee that everyone on our show is vaccinated before I go to work,” she was quoted as saying.

The mum-of-three went on: “Will I go to work before everyone on my show is vaccinated? No. No, I won’t.
“Am I being threatened that I will lose my job? Yes. Yes I am.
“Will I lose my job if everyone is not vaccinated on my show? Yes. Yes I could.
“Will I stand up for all of us so that every set that we go on is vaccinated? Yes. Yes, I will.
"Why?
"Because that’s ridiculous…that we should have to go to work where we are not safe to work.”
Stone added that she was “not going to work until all of our sets are vaccinated”.
The star is running for the position along with Membership First's Matthew Modine and Joely Fisher.
Membership First describes itself as "an organised community of SAG-AFTRA members and leaders who’ve come together to protect the rights and interests of every member in every category of our union".
