Iconic Beano character Dennis the Menace is being honoured with a new set of stamps.

It comes as 2021 marks 70 years since he was first brought to life in a pencil sketch in 1951 before making his Beano debut later that year.

Six stamps feature images depicting key moments from the naughty schoolboy's life across the years, including him meeting baby sister Bea, adopting his dog Gnasher and even finding out that his dad is a grown-up version of Dennis.

Meanwhile, editorial director of Beano Studios Mike Stirling said: “Dennis has stamped his personality across first class laughs and mischief for generations of children.
