Prince George wears £10 John Lewis top in eighth birthday portrait

Prince George celebrates his eighth birthday on 22 July and to mark the special day the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a portrait of their eldest child.

The photograph, which was taken by Kate at their Norfolk home, captures George beaming with joy, dressed in a pair of navy blue tailored shorts with a navy and orange striped polo top.

It turns out the top is from John Lewis & Partners, and is more affordable than you might have thought, costing £8 to £12 depending on the size.

Unsurprisingly, the exact style George is pictured has sold out, however it is available in two other colours, so your little one can feel like a real Prince.

John Lewis' Kids' Stripe Short Sleeve Polo Shirt is made from 100% cotton, which is breathable and lightweight.

It has a classic polo shirt style, with a collar, three-quarter button down front and short sleeves. It also has an emblem printed on the hem.

The Polo Shirt comes in a navy blue with white stripe, as well as a brighter light blue hue with yellow pin stripe.

Both styles are available to buy for children aged two to 12 years.
