Pixie Geldof announces she is pregnant with first child in stunning bump picture

In a sweet social media post, Pixie Geldof has announced she is pregnant with her first child.

The model – who is the third daughter of musician Bob Geldof and the late Paula Yates – revealed her growing baby bump.

She shared a picture on Instagram of the silhouette of her body from behind a back-lit sheet hanging over an archway, while her husband George Barnett popped his head over the wall.

The 30-year-old, who appeared to be posing in her garden, simply captioned her post with a love heart emoji.

It has so far received over 17,000 'likes, with the news delighting many of her famous friends.

Fellow model Daisy Lowe wrote: "Yes magic mumma."

The DJ Mary Charteris commented: 'Beautiful xxx."

And singer Jessie Ware added: "Yes babe!"

Sienna Miller's sister Savannah, Jude Law's ex-wife Sadie Frost and model Adwoa Aboah were among those to leave red love heart emojis.

Geldof married Barnett – who is drummer for These New Puritans – back in June 2017.

It is certain to be happy news for the Geldof family, who have been rocked by two tragic events in the past.

On Pixie's tenth birthday in 2000, her mother died from a heroin overdose at her home in Notting Hill.

Then, in 2014, her elder sister Peaches passed away aged 25 from, what an inquest found to be, opioid intoxication at her home in Kent.

Speaking to The Guardian in 2016, Geldof said that she had made "such an impact" during her life.

She also has sister Fifi Trixibelle, 38, as well as half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence, 24.
