Piers Morgan has announced that he is looking for staff for his new TV show but “annoying woke snowflakes” need not apply.

The presenter has landed a new show on Rupert Murdoch's talkTV after storming out of ITV's Good Morning Britain in March following a row over his comments about Meghan Markle.

He has now tweeted a link to various job vacancies on his new programme – but said he only wants “the very best” candidates.

“We're hiring for my new show & an exciting new TV network,” Morgan tweeted. “We only want the very best - so no annoying woke snowflakes need apply, thanks.”

The presenter, 56, has often been outspoken about “woke” culture.

Earlier this year he claimed that “woke imbeciles" were destroying the world after it was announced that the Mr Potato Head brand would lose the "Mr" in a gender neutral makeover.

And last week he waded in to the debate about who will take over as James Bond now that Daniel Craig has stepped down, saying that if 007 is played by a female he will campaign to have Wonder Woman be a man.

“He's virtually the last real man standing in a Hollywood neutered by the emasculating cult of illiberal liberal fascists – and I'll fight until the last drop of my blood to save him from the woke wastrels,” he wrote in the Daily Mail.

The TV star’s new show will be on talkTV, a brand new channel from Rupert Murdoch's News Corp.

It is due to start in early 2022.
