Nicolas Cage has revealed that he would like to star in a musical.

The eclectic actor, who is known for his variety of roles, has never starred in a musical but did sing in David Lynch's Wild at Heart in 1990.

Speaking to Empire for their new issue, Cage said: "I haven't done a musical yet. I'd like to try that. I'm not much of a singer. I did sing okay in Wild At Heart, I thought, but I've since blown my voice out singing Purple Rain incorrectly in karaoke bars."
