Michael Keaton to play Batman in The Flash

Michael Keaton will will reprise his role as Batman after almost 30 years in upcoming movie The Flash, his management have confirmed.

The film officially began production in London on Monday, director Andres Muschietti revealed in an Instagram post.

Keaton first played Batman in Tim Burton's 1989 blockbuster of the same name, and last played the caped crusader in 1992's Batman Returns.

The Flash will disregard 1995's Batman Forever and 1997's Batman & Robin and explore what Keaton's version of the superhero has been doing since we last saw him in the role.
