Watch: Michael Greco slams Hollyoaks for casting AJ and Curtis Pritchard
EastEnders star Michael Greco has hit out at Hollyoaks for casting reality TV brothers Curtis and AJ Pritchard in the soap.
The brothers’ acting in the Channel 4 soap has been savaged by fans, and actor Gerard McCarthy labelled one of their scenes an “absolute car crash”.
Greco has now weighed in, saying in tweets which have now been deleted that the people behind the casting should resign.

“This is everything and more that is wrong with an industry I love,” he said.
The actor, best known as Walford’s Beppe di Marco, went on: “These people that suddenly come up with these casting ideas need to resign immediately. Shocking.”
According to reports, the actor said in another post: "I think people can watch this and learn so much from it. How 'not' to act."
Greco also apparently quipped that the pair deserved a Bafta.
Strictly star AJ and Love Islander Curtis play brothers Marco and Jacob in the soap.
AJ began his role earlier this year but Curtis recently joined him.
Many viewers saw the funny side when Curtis made his debut.
“GET RID OF AJ AND CURTIS!!!!! I can’t believe this is real? I turned Hollyoaks off for the first time!” tweeted one viewer.
“AJ and Curtis Pritchard have both failed their GCSE drama exam,” quipped another.
“Watching AJ and Curtis on Hollyoaks actually hurts my soul,” said another.
AJ, 26, found fame as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing from 2016 to 2019.
Curtis, 25, made his name as one of the singletons looking for romance in the 2019 series of Love Island.
