Mel C gives fresh hope for new Spice Girls reunion and speaks out on Glastonbury rumours
Mel C has given Spice Girls fans a fresh hope for a new reunion after claiming she’d be “very cross” if they don’t perform together again.
The legendary 90s girl band — completed by Geri Horner,Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Mel B — had an impressive six-year run as chart-toppers before breaking up in 2000 to pursue solo projects.
Since then, their reunions have become rare but global events, and after their Ireland and Britain Spice World tour in 2019, Sporty Spice herself (real name Melanie Chisolm) has said she’s determined to get back on the road with her bandmates.

Speaking on the Celebrity Search Engine podcast, Chisolm said: “I can’t speak for everybody but if it was down to me, as soon as we can, we will.”
“The success of the shows in 2019 and just how much we loved it, we have to do it. If we don’t do it, I’ll be very, very cross!”
However, she debunked rumours that the band were ever in line to headline Glastonbury festival, and added: “I can tell you the absolute truth on this one – we’ve never been approached!
“[It would be] The absolute dream! I would love to play Glastonbury, in fact all the girls would. But yeah, haven’t yet had that call.”
Despite Chisolm's eagerness to perform again with the band, no such official plans are currently in place.
However, the band’s breakthrough single Wannabe turns 25 this year, and Chisolm teased the landmark anniversary won’t go unnoticed.
“There are so many more exciting things later on this year,” she offered. “I can’t reveal too much.”
Since going on an “indefinite hiatus” back in 2000, the girls have reformed for two tours though rarely as an entire five-piece.
