MAFS star JJ Slater says marriage is on cards with Katie Price
Is Katie Price planning on walking down the aisle for a fourth time?
Wedding bells could be on the horizon as JJ Slater revealed it would have "saved a lot of time" if Price - who has been declared bankrupt again - had been walking down the aisle on Married At First Sight. The Married At First Sight star has said marriage is on the cards as he thinks they could have a great future together.
Slater talked about their romance heating up as he said they had progressed to spending a lot of time together. They have been romancing for about five months now amid reports the couple are set to move in and that Price will leave the Mucky Mansion for good.
He told The Daily Mail: "'It would have been ideal on Married At First Sight if I was at the altar and I turned around and it was Kate walking down. It would have saved a lot of time."
It is love, Slater revealed. He added: "We have said the L word. The thing is we get on so well and have so much fun together. All I really want to do is make sure Kate is happy, support her, and be there for her, her being happy means I'm doing something right.
"We are both adults and I wouldn't be with someone if I didn't see a future with them. So, that's how I see it... We aren't together to waste each other's time... We are adults so of course, I see a future with her."
Price has hinted about getting married again herself too. She shared a photograph on Instagram of a neon sign saying: Will you marry me? From a romantic skiing break to enjoying date nights out in London, their relationship has gone from strength to strength. They went public with their romance in February and the rest is history.
The reality TV star has spoken about the public's reaction to her relationship. "They've actually been alright," Price told Goss.ie. Cheeky Price did add: "Mind you, everyone has said today that he looked like my nephew."
Reaction to their relationship
While the public's reaction has been positive, Slater's Married At First Sight co-star Georges Berthhonneau issued a warning to Price. In February, Berthhonneau warned Price that Slater could break her heart. He told Closer magazine: "JJ is the biggest ladies' man."
He added: "He's made a ton of money, so he only hangs out with models now. Katie will be obsessed with him - she's known to love Essex guys and he's all about that vibe. She'll end up heartbroken because he definitely won't be in it for the long run."
On Married At First Sight, Slater had dumped his TV wife Bianca Petronzi as a new romance blossomed on-screen with Ella Morgan who was the first ever transgender MAFS star. Morgan and Slater built a good friendship but the romance fizzled out by the time they made the final vows.
By the time the MAFS reunion show aired, Slater had found love with Price. Morgan was in tears and she said: "There are still feels there for me, (the split) has just been hard to swallow. If I had my way I would be walking back (into the reunion) with him."
Katie Price's engagements and marriages
Price has been engaged eight times before. She was previously engaged to Warren Furman, Scott Sullivan, Leandro Penna, Kris Boyson and Carl Woods. However, these engagements didn't work out and she never made it down the aisle.
The former glamour model has been married three times already. She married Peter Andre in 2005 after they fell in love on reality series Down Under, I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here in 2004. They co-parent their children Princess and Junior together, both of whom seem interested in careers in the spotlight after their parents. Their marriage came to an end in 2009. Andre has gone onto marry Dr Emily Andre and they have three children together.
Price married Alex Reid for a year between 2010 and 2011. It was the shortest of her three marriages. Her third marriage was to Kieran Hayler in 2013, with whom she shares her youngest children Bunny and Jett. They enjoyed their second honeymoon in the Maldives. Their marriage came to an end in 2019 when Price found out Hayler had a year-long affair with the children's nanny.
