Linda Nolan has celebrated living to see another year - in spite of her incurable cancer diagnosis.

The 62-year-old Nolan Sisters star - who was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 2006 and was told in 2020 that the cancer had returned - saw in 2022 in style with her sisters Coleen Nolan, 56, and Maureen, 67.

Linda shared a video of her and sisters dancing and singing as they celebrated the New Year, captioned: "Not only have I lived to see another year in, I saw it in with my sisters by my side and I couldn’t be more thankful.

"There’s lots of great things planned for 2022 and I can’t wait to share them all with you… Here’s to an amazing year ahead!"

The sisters were singing along to their 1980 hit Who's Gonna Rock You at a party in Congleton in Cheshire.

Linda's sister Anne, 70, was diagnosed with breast cancer in May 2020 and the same week Linda learned that her own cancer had returned.

The sister's received treatment at the same time, but doctors have told Linda her cancer is now incurable.

Talking about her cancer check-ups, Linda said: "Every time, I worry if it’s spread again. I’m scared of dying. There’s so much to live for. You realise that when you’ve been through all that I have. Every day is a gift."

The Nolan Sisters found fame as part of a girl group in 1974 with hits including I’m In The Mood For Dancing. The original line-up also included sister Bernie who died aged 52 in 2010 following a battle with breast cancer.

Coleen has said of Linda and Anne's diagnoses: “Once I got over shock and trauma, then you go through the panic of, ‘Am I next?’ It's obviously in my family.”

She added: “Cancer took my sister Bernie in 2013, I didn't think life could get any worse than that then bam 2020 comes alone.

“My first thought with Anne and Linda was, ‘I can't bear losing any more sisters, I can't bear it!’

“It's been horrendous actually, you try and be strong for them, as they are being strong, there's just times when you feel so weak with it and angry, it's unfair.”
