Liam Gallagher has called a judge a c*** for labelling his son "entitled" as he stood trial for affray and assault at a London supermarket.

Gene Gallagher and Ringo Starr's grandson Sonny Starkey, 21, walked free from court after prosecutors dropped the case on the first day of the trial - but not before Judge Joanna Greenberg had given them a strict dressing down.

Former Oasis singer Liam, 49, then tweeted: "Judge Judy can kiss my a*** hole from 1 entitled prick to another as you were LG x [sp]"

The judge has recorded not guilty pleas for Gallagher and Sonny Starkey, 19, the grandson of musician Ringo Starr, after prosecutors decided to bring no evidence, and bound them over - meaning they have promised to

Gene, Starkey, and their friend model Noah Ponte, 21, were accused of stealing a £1.70 gin and tonic drink after the Hampstead branch of Tesco Express had stopped serving alcohol, as well as throwing groceries and "windmilling" down the aisles during the incident, which took place in May 2019.

They then clashed with security staff - who said they were racially abused - and were charged with affray and assault after police arrived on the scene.

But prosecutors dropped the charges saying the staff had "overreacted".

Judge Greenberg told them: “This doesn’t diminish to a great extent the bad behaviour.”

She added: “Your behaviour on this occasion when you entered the Tesco store was, in my view, completely out of order, no doubt as a result of having been drinking.

“It is a hard enough for people running late-night stores without entitled young men thinking they could get what they want by misbehaving, and this is what the two of you did.”

Gene is Liam's son with All Saints singer Nicole Appleton.
