Love Island fans have been given their first taste of the upcoming series with new teasers from ITV.

Laura Whitmore stars in one promo, wielding a pink mallet to smash a heart-shaped glass box surrounding an alarm with a sign that reads: "In case of Love Island, crack on.”

The presenter, who first hosted the show for the winter 2020 series, wears stylish shades and a red jumpsuit with matching lipstick in the clip.

Whitmore took over the hosting gig from Caroline Flack last year before the latter took her own life in February 2020.

The first episode to air after her death saw the show pay tribute to her with narrator Iain Stirling - who is Whitmore's husband - describing Flack as a "true friend".

The ITV2 dating show is typically filmed in Mallorca, and it is thought it will once again be returning to the Spanish island.

The new series has been filmed adhering to government guidelines surrounding Covid-19.

The teaser will be shown during the first episode of The Masked Dancer, which starts at 7pm on Saturday on ITV and the ITV Hub.
