Katona told The Mirror: “I am going to get my eggs frozen because I would like Ryan to have a child but I couldn’t physically carry it. So we are looking into surrogacy but we’re in no rush.”

The former Atomic Kitten star added of her last traumatic birth: “Why put myself through that when I could go through surrogacy?”

She is already mum to Molly, 19, and Lilly-Sue, 18, from her first marriage to Westlife's Brian McFadden, Heidi, 14, and Maxwell, 13, from her second marriage to Mark Croft, and Dylan-Jorge, seven, from her third marriage to George Kay.

Katona admitted that her younger three children were "very spoilt" as she had tried to over-compensate for her abusive marriage to Kay, who died in 2019 aged 39.

She said: “When I was with George and I went through all the abuse and stuff, I feel like I’ve over-compensated and they want for nothing, and I’ve made a rod for my own back there, especially Heidi. I’ve over-compensated for the mistakes I’ve made in the past."

Adding that her children received a lot of abuse over rumours and headlines about her, she said that she had "gone too far" in buying them expensive gifts.

Katona said she had been given a wake-up call when she bought Heidi a new iPad and pen for her birthday, but got a text asking for a new pen shortly afterwards because the dog had chewed it.

She said no to replacing the expensive item but added that she had "nobody to blame but myself".
