Kerry Katona compares herself to Anthony Joshua

Kerry Katona has jokenly compared herself to Anthony Joshua after the heavyweight boxer's post-fight rant on Saturday night (20 August).

The former pop star made comparison's between Joshua's rambling speech and her infamous appearance on This Morning in 2008 in which it was claimed she was drunk.

Katona wrote on Instagram: "AJ's speech at the end of his boxing match tops my This Morning interview."

After it was announced that Joshua had lost a split decision to Oleksandr Usyk, the former Olympian stormed out of the ring before coming back in and grabbing the world title belts and dropping them out of the ring.

He then proceeded to grab the microphone and give a long, rampling speech about his past legal issues, the current war in Ukraine and his weight.

Back in 2018, Katona opened up about her This Morning appearance and says she was not drunk but suffering from side effects to bipolar medication she was taking.

She said: "The criticism I got, the judgment I had because of my slurring still sticks with me today. No one believed it was my meds that made me slur, but it was – instead they assume it was the drugs and that's the reputation I got."

"I still get so badly criticised – it's such a fickle world. Because of that time I'm still trying to get production companies to believe in me again."

In recent years, Katona has taken to modelling on the OnlyFans subscription service where she charges fans $19.99 a month to view explicit photos and videos.

She credited joining OnlyFans for saving her for bankruptcy.

in 2021, the former Atomic Kitten singer also appeared on SAS: Who Dares Wins.
