HBO Max drops teaser, release date for much-anticipated 'Sex and the City' revival, 'And Just Like That…'

And just like that… a new series begins with the women of Sex and the City.

On Friday, HBO Max dropped a teaser for the highly anticipated revival, And Just Like That, the latest chapter in the lives of Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) as they continue navigating their New York City love lives and careers — except this time, while in their 50s.

“They say some things never change, but the truth is life is full of surprises,” Carrie says in the teaser. “As your story unfolds, the city reinvents itself. And just like that... a new chapter begins.”

The series also stars Sara Ramírez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler and of course, the late Willie Garson, who died in September at the age of 57.

While the original HBO series also starred Kim Cattrall, the actress will not be in the revival, though rumors have been circulating of the possibility of her coming on board for a second season.

The 10-episode season will debut its first two episodes on Dec. 9 before releasing more, one at a time, on subsequent Thursdays.

Based on characters from Candace Bushnell’s 1996 book of the same title, Sex and the City ran for six seasons between 1998 and 2004 and spawned two major films (Sex and the City, Sex and the City 2) as well as a prequel series, The Carrie Diaries.

Of course, fans were beside themselves following the release of the teaser, sharing their excitement on social media…
