With its fluoro-coloured beanbags, astroturf and massive decking, the Love Island villa's garden has become as synonymous with British summer as damp Wimbledon matches and strawberries.

In fact, given the weather, it sometimes feels as if we spend more time tuned in to the villa than in our own gardens.

After last year's relocation to Cape Town, the show is returning to the Majorcan villa we all know and love - and it's never been more bang on trend.

The fire pit, where contestants gather to find out if they've been dumped from the show, is still a must-have in UK gardens after sales went through the roof last year.

Meanwhile, those highlighter-bright scatter cushions and umbrellas tap into 2021's maximalist trend - just remember, more is definitely more. If in doubt, grab yourself a colourful outdoor rug – one of this summer's biggest garden trends.

Garden 'zoning' (dividing your outdoor space into distinctly different areas) is currently all the rage, so it's time to create your own hideaway - how you choose to use it is up to you.

Tropical-themed garden tableware is another must, and the villa's festoon lighting never goes out of style - just throw in an awkward 'party' with your household for the full Love Island meets lockdown experience.
