If you're looking for a new challenge or want to get into gaming but don't know where to start, you can start here: Walmart, GameStop and Best Buy have the Nintendo Switch OLED available for pre-order — and it now comes with Joy-Cons in white, classic neon red and neon blue.

Over the last few months, the Nintendo Switch Lite has been harder to come by than the 'Ice Ice Outpost' shortcut in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (you know what we’re talking about, gamers). However, if you want to get your mitts on Nintendo's latest console, all three retailers have the Nintendo Switch OLED ready for pre-order for $350.

It won’t stay in stock long for its October 8 release date. So if you want to play Nintendo games at the best possible picture quality, click fast.

Upgrade for 2021

The new OLED (Organic Light-Emitting Diode) display here is why it's worth the upgrade. OLED produces its own light source without backlighting, unlike LED displays. This means more vivid and vibrant color contrast with deep and dark black levels, compared to LED. OLED also has wider viewing angles, so more people can gather around you to watch you play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and get a great view.

The Nintendo Switch OLED is the only home console that doubles as a portable handheld video game system. You can take it out of its dock to play your favorite Nintendo games on-the-go, but with better picture quality than most smartphones and TVs on its larger 7-inch OLED touchscreen (compared to last year's 6.2-inch LED display).

And with up to nine hours of battery life per charge, the Nintendo Switch OLED can be played just about anywhere. It also has more storage at 64GB instead of 32GB, a re-designed kickstand for better support and more comfortable gaming, enhanced audio and a new dock with a wired LAN port to plug directly into the internet via Ethernet.

Fun for everyone

Meanwhile, the Nintendo Switch OLED is one of the most fun video game consoles out there, with its wide range of exclusive games like Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Splatoon 2, Fire Emblem Warriors, Super Mario Maker 2 and much, much more. It comes with two motion-control ‘Joy-Con’ controllers on each side — they can be used separately or together as a unit. Trust us, the Nintendo Switch OLED is a blast for people of all ages — not just kids.

Available for pre-order at $332.50, the Nintendo Switch OLED is one of the best home consoles out there — now with a larger display and much better picture quality compared to previous models. Walmart, GameStop and Best Buy will have it ready to ship on October 8, but it’s also likely to run out of stock fast.

Remember how hard it was to get your hands on an Xbox Series X/S or a Sony PlayStation 5 at the end of 2020? Don't let that happen with the Nintendo Switch OLED — pre-order it now!
