Ellie Goulding reveals she's 30 weeks pregnant with first child

Ellie Goulding and her husband Caspar Jopling are expecting their first child together.

The Love Me Like You Do singer has revealed she's 30 weeks pregnant but shared in a new interview with Vogue that the baby wasn't planned.

Speaking about her last big public appearance at the V&A Museum last August, she said: “That was [around] the time when Caspar and I went away briefly when we were allowed to for our one-year anniversary, and that’s basically when we found out.

"It was crazy because it was our one-year anniversary. That was not the plan. The thought of getting pregnant didn’t seem like it could be a reality. Becoming pregnant kind of made me feel human.

"I want a better word than womanly, [but]—I have curves I’ve never had before. I’m enjoying it. My husband’s enjoying it.”

The 34-year-old added that being pregnant in a pandemic has felt "particularly lonely" which led to her becoming "secretive" and "protective" of the pregnancy.

Goulding, who is currently living in Gloucestershire, went on to say she and Jopling know the sex of their baby but that she wasn't interested in a gender reveal.

The expectant mother explained she would be continuing to work and that she was looking forward to getting back out on tour.

The news comes as she released her fourth studio album, Brightest Blue, last July.

Goulding and art dealer Jopling tied the knot in a lavish, star-studded ceremony at York Minster in 2019.
